Role summary

This role sits at the intersection of Technical Product Management, Cloud Architecture, and Software Engineering – defining product scope and business model, architecting the technical solution, and building working prototypes to validate feasibility before heavier engineering investment.

Team is AT&T Emerging Products, spanning IoT, 5G, AI, and energy. Active work includes the AI Video Intelligence platform and the Smart Energy Grid Resilience opportunity; completed work includes the ITP Portal prototype and the Video Intelligence MVP.

Day to day, the role spans both upstream and hands-on: shaping product vision and roadmap with product owners and BDMs, setting architecture and technical standards for engineering delivery, and coding directly where needed – sometimes to de-risk feasibility, sometimes because resource constraints require it.

Functionally, it's the bridge between business and engineering: translating business needs into technical direction, and technical realities into business decisions.
